MY STORY

I'm Kevin Burke — born and raised in the Houston area, and I've been hunting and fishing in Texas my whole life. My dad got me into it early, and it never let go. Whitetail deer, ducks, bass, redfish, speckled trout — if it's in Texas, I'm chasing it.

For a long time I did what most of us do — scrolled through Facebook groups, followed forums, argued with strangers on the internet about deer management and fishing spots. And I got tired of it. Tired of the out-of-state opinions. Tired of the noise. Tired of communities that weren't built for Texas hunters and anglers — they were just built for everybody, which means they were really built for nobody.

So I started Texas Fish and Game Unfiltered — a podcast about the issues, the science, and the debates that actually matter to people like us. Whitetail genetics. Duck population decline. Spike management. Forward-facing sonar. Real topics, real data, no sugarcoating.

And then I built the Texas Fish and Game Network — because the conversation shouldn't stop when the episode ends. TFGN is the private community I always wanted. Texas-only. No algorithms. No outsiders stirring the pot. Just serious hunters and anglers who love this state and want to talk about it with people who get it.
